If any of you follow me on Instagram (if you don't you should, FOLLOW ME HERE) you know that I have been to the beach with all of my "family"! No not my blood relatives but, my other family. My friends.
Yeah, we are a little crazy but, we have a great time! In fact I would say it was the best time I have had in a really-really-really long time. I think we all needed it.
So like the photo above says, "Friends are the family we choose". That is so true. My friends have always been there for me, just like a family. They love me for me, just like a family. I can't imagine my life without them, just like a family. There is a couple of "family members" missing from this photo but, they can be in the next one!
My "family" grew this past year. 2012 brought me about 5 new friends. Yeah crazy right! I must have been a likable person this past year. If you know me at all you know that I don't trust easily so I consider it a miracle of God himself that I gained some friends this year.
The two I had before all these crazy people showed up are my best friends. Yes they are guys but, who gives a crap! They are like my brothers. Shot one of them even calls me and my sister his "Sissys"! They are there for me no matter what! They're the best brothers a girl could as for even if they are not technically my brothers!
I have a wonderful relationship with all my friends but, I am really excited about my newest best friend. She is my first real girl best friend I have really ever had. Yep, I said it! I hang with guys mostly. I know I am not the only one out there either! Let's face it, most girls will stab you in the back or talk about you with their "other friends". That is why I mostly hang around guys and have done so for most of my life. I do hang out with girls but, they are not quite my best friends yet. But, this girl is just as crazy as I am and hangs around guys mostly as well, so I know I can trust her. I know I can tell her anything and she will keep shut about it and she knows she can do the same with me. This past year, we have truly grown into sisters and I can wait to have more fun with my "sister" this year!
This trip was truly a building block towards life long friendships and I can't wait to see what God has in store for all of us!
